Sea lion rookery

We got amazingly close to sea lions at La Jolla Cove in Southern California. In this video you see babies and females relaxing on the beach. A few minutes in, the tide starts to come up and you hear the males start barking and herding everyone higher on the shore, away from the incoming tide. Look for the huge male that surfs onto the beach. Adult males weigh about 650 pounds!
